A Massive Installation Musical

It was like crazy. My Sister Betty Davis, (Joby) was able to attend this Installation. Joby has traveled the world with her husband JD, a Dentist in the Army for the last 25+ years. Oh yeah, Don't be fooled by her young looks....She's young looking, beautiful and all... but been here awhile! LOL.... She probably taught school for almost 30 years. Joby is officially on the BLOG. Wow.... there were so many people meeting and greeting each other in the Installatioin Musical until there are no words to describe the atmosphere. My Choir lead by Mr E and My former Minister of Music Damien Savage sang on Friday night. Ms Inez Andrews sang 2 songs and took her queenly bow. We were happy to have her with us the entire weekend inspite of the fact the Caravans, (Albertina Walker, Dorothy Norwood, Delores Washington, Shirley Caesar) were booked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Bobby Jones during the time of the Installation Service. Her son Richard who plays for both Aretha Franklin and Ms Andrews attended the funeral of the booking agent who booked for Aretha and Ms Inez years ago. Richard came in Saturday evening and was able to attend the Sunday morning service as well as play for Ms Inez in the evening service. Damien Savage is simply one of the BEST teachers and performers going! Damien started playing for me when he was like fifteen years old and somehow has played for me and continues to travel with me. I'll tell you about a few dates coming up when he will be with me..... Maybe you'd like to attend. Mr Bill Davis narrated the program and really did a good job! I was surprized! lol. I guess performers; be that Choirs, Soloists, even Preachers, etc.. have to learn soon that when you sing very well, and finish your song or your sermon, and the people (audience/congregation) claps and applauds and yells.... they are applauding the job that was done. They are not in anywise asking for more singing or more preaching.... they are simply saying.....we enjoyed what you just did.... NEXT!!!!
